February 11, 2019 Meeting

4 Feb

Come Join us for this Month’s meeting on February 11th

The Century Tree is located in the heart of Texas A&M’s campus, and has continued to thrive amidst the many changes that have occurred at the university throughout the years. At this month’s Meeting on February 11th you will have the opportunity to purchase seedlings from the Century Tree.

Andy Duffie ’78 with the Aggie Century Tree Project will be on hand at our meeting with these seedlings.

By February 11th, He will have a very limited supply (maybe 15 trees or so) of seedlings which will be tall enough to sell as one-year old trees, so please pre-order. If you would like to purchase these brand new seedlings or vouch for purchasing a given number of seedlings, He can bring them with him to Lake Jackson and save everybody $20 in packaging and shipping costs per tree.  So please spread the word!

Note $20 from each purchase will come back to the club for local scholarships.

He plans to give one seedling away as a door prize to one of our club members in attendance at the program. He also plans to bring along a limited number of pre-purchased seedlings to the meeting.  We need to be able to give him an amount ahead of time so he knows how many to bring with him.

I have attached a representative photo of a year-old seedling so you can get an idea of the size of these seedlings which I would bring to your program.

Members can pay him for the trees at the program, if they choose, by cash or check. If they wish to pay by credit card, they will need to purchase a seedling on his web site (aggiecenturytreeproject.com) and note “Brazoria County Aggie Moms” when making the online purchase. He will bring those trees along with the others to the meeting.
