Incoming Aggies!

Howdy! Please pass this information along to all incoming Aggies (freshmen and transfers). Because of recent legislation handed down in Texas, TAMU will not be able to provide Aggie Moms’ Club with contact information for incoming Aggies for Summer and Fall 2016 unless they opt-in to release their contact information. This means the Clubs can’t send you information about Howdy Parties, scholarships and other opportunities that the clubs have to offer. “Opting in” can be done by selecting “I authorize Texas A&M University to release my directory information.” through their Howdy/AIS portal. Gig ’em!

MARK YOU CALENDAR – Our first Aggie Mom Club meeting will be our annual Welcome Tailgate on Monday September 12 at 6:30pm at the Lake Jackson Civic Center.  If you haven’t joined us in a while, it is time to get back in the loop and see what’s new. We have a lot of exciting things planned this year you won’t want to miss.   We’d love to have as many of our “graduate” moms with us as possible. Come on out and meet some new friends or catch-up with long time friends. Share your wisdom with our new moms.

Membership information HERE.

A couple of other items of note:

New football clear bag policy:  If you are not aware, only clear bags will be allowed into games this year.  No purses, backpacks etc.  Here is the link to the new policy.  I have heard that our local Academy is ordering bags and will be available soon. https://12thman.com/news/2016/6/14/beclear.aspx

Texas A&M’s new “clear bag” policy for Kyle Field and all home athletics venues beginning this fall aims to speed up gate entries and enhance fan safety.

Texting and driving in College Station:  CSTAT City Council has approved a ban on texting while driving.  It will be official in 90 daysso if you or your student is tempted.
